St Patrick’s day Las Vegas: WHAT IS The Big Deal?
St. Patrick’s day is a religious and cultural celebration held annually on the 17th of March. Its purpose is to celebrate the foremost patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick. It was originally about the introduction of Christianity to Ireland. But in recent times it has become a big deal globally.
On the 17th of March major cities around the world are literally painted green by people celebrating the Saint. Well, Vegas tops every city with its penchant to go big and shiny.
If you will be in Las Vegas on the 17th of March there are a number of activities to keep you entertained and sear the holiday into your heart.
GO GREEN OR STAY AT HOME
While blue was the first color associated with St. Patrick’s day, according to some accounts, it started to change in the 17th century. After all, green is one of the colors in Ireland’s tri-color flag, green is the color of the three-leaf clover it was believed St. Patrick used in explaining the mystery of the trinity on his propagation of the gospel and green is the color of the lush Irish landscape. Therefore, to start your day off you may want to lay out a green outfit to avoid been pinched by total strangers.
